How to Make an Infinite Logo Carousel in WordPress (Free, Block Editor or Elementor)

Build a seamless client-logo carousel that never stops or jumps, in the block editor or Elementor — logo prep, speed, spacing and accessibility.

To make an infinite logo carousel in WordPress, install the free MarqueeX plugin and add the Image Marquee block or Elementor widget. Pick your logos, set the speed, spacing and height, and they scroll in a seamless loop that never stops or jumps. Export logos at the same height with transparent backgrounds, and turn on pause on hover.

Prepare your logos

A logo strip looks professional when the logos look like a set.

  • Same height, not same width. Wide wordmarks and square marks look balanced at equal height.
  • Transparent background. PNG or SVG. SVG stays sharp on every screen.
  • One colour treatment. All full colour, or all monochrome. Mixed treatments look accidental.
  • Trim the padding. Uneven whitespace inside the files makes the spacing look uneven.
  • Alt text. Use the company name, e.g. "Acme Corp logo".

Block editor

  1. Install and activate MarqueeX.
  2. Edit the page, open the inserter and search for marquee.
  3. Insert Image Marquee and select your logos.
  4. In the sidebar set:
    • Speed — slow enough to read the names.
    • Direction — right-to-left is what visitors expect.
    • Spacing and image height.
    • Pause on hover — on.
    • Edge fade — fades logos in and out at the edges instead of cutting them off.
  5. Publish.

Elementor

  1. Edit the page with Elementor and search the widget panel for marquee.
  2. Drag in Image Marquee and add your logos. Each image can have its own link.
  3. Set speed, direction, spacing, height, pause on hover and edge fade in the widget controls.
  4. Use the responsive controls to reduce the height on mobile.

Elementor Pro isn't needed.

Marquee or carousel?

A marquee moves continuously — good for a glanceable wall of logos. A carousel moves slide by slide with arrows — better when each logo has a caption or a case study behind it. If you want the stepped version in the block editor, WPXERO's SlideVerse has a Logo Carousel block.

Going further with Pro

MarqueeX Pro adds scroll interactions: visitors spin the mouse wheel over the strip to speed it up or reverse it, or drag it to scrub through, with momentum on release. It starts at $19.99 a year.

Common Questions

Install the free MarqueeX plugin, add the Image Marquee block (block editor) or Image Marquee widget (Elementor), select your logos from the Media Library, then set the speed, spacing and image height. The logos scroll in a seamless, never-ending loop.

A carousel moves in steps, usually with arrows or dots. A marquee moves continuously at a steady speed with no jumps, which suits client and partner logos that visitors glance at rather than browse.

Export them at the same height — around 60–80 pixels tall at twice that for sharp screens — with transparent backgrounds. SVG files stay sharp at any size. Equal height matters more than equal width.

Yes, in MarqueeX's Elementor Image Marquee widget, where each image has its own link field. Only link logos if the link is useful; a strip of outbound links can distract from your page.

MarqueeX scrolls with CSS keyframes and loads its files only on pages with a marquee. Compress logos and prefer SVG to keep the images themselves light.

Yes. Turn on pause on hover so visitors can stop it, and MarqueeX respects the reduce-motion setting.
